Spring has sprung, almost

It's that time of year again. Winter has lost its bite and we have to plant out or prune everything that hasn't already been put in the ground or cut back for the new growing season.

This is a bit of a hassle as we need a new pump. The old one worked hard in severe conditions. The impeller is paper thin on both sides, and the connectors are corroded away where water sits in them. So it's time for a new pump, and we'll be ordering one this weekend. It should be here in time for deployment next weekend, and then spring planting and watering can begin in earnest.

Both peach trees have flowered already, and for the first time we have a defense against fruit fly, so maybe we'll have fruit.
